Well my Daddy has a new toy. It looks like another black box thingy that makes bright lights at me. l like to smile at it, it makes me happy. Well this camera as he calls it makes videos (whatever those are). Here is a video of me enjoying my bath - it is even in HD (again, whatever that is). As you can tell my Daddy is proud of his new black box thingy. Enjoy...

Life according to me. I was born on April 27, 2008 and have many things to say. My parents blogged about me before I was born and right after I arrived. I feel that the time has come for me to say it directly to you. I feel sure my parents will have something to say every now and then.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mommy and Daddy have been telling me about Thanksgiving. We haven't gotten too far into the Pilgrims and Indians and all that stuff, but I do know that it is a day on which we give thanks to God for all the many blessings that He has given us. I am thankful for my family and friends. Mostly I am thankful to have been born this year. I think Mommy and Daddy are pretty thankful for me as well. So is Henry...he has figured out in the past few days that I have food on me after I get out of the high chair.
Anyway, if you are reading this, you are on my list of "thankfuls"! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Much love and sweet dreams,
MH

Growing Girl! (Part 2)

Hi there!
Everything is going well since I last wrote. Daddy took my monthly picture with Pooh and I thought it might be fun to share with you. I was 2 months old in the top picture and the bottom one was taken this weekend (6 months). See how much I've grown?
Contrary to how it appears, I do have a little bit MORE hair than I did in July...just lighter in color! No more mullet-esque line in the back, though. (A big shout out to my buddy Drew!)
Much love and sweet dreams,

Growing Girl!

Hi there!
Everything is going well for us all. Thankfully everyone seems to be feeling better. I love school (most days), although this week was a little bit more of a challenge because as you might guess, I like attention. Two new friends came into my class and my teachers had to pay some extra attention to them to help them adjust...of course, they still gave me kisses while everyone else was sleeping! :)
Monday was my six month check up and Dr. Hodges says I'm a healthy girl. I'm weighing in at 18 lbs 8 oz and 25 3/4 inches long. I got 4 shots this time from a different nurse...she hurt me a little bit, but I'm tough. I'm a very big fan of rice cereal, apples, bananas, pears, sweet potatoes, carrots, green peas. Hadn't met much food I don't like! I am still a huge fan of my bath and my jumper thingy. Mommy is worried that I might get whiplash because I bounce so hard sometimes! I love it!!
Oh, have I mentioned how much I love Henry? I can't quite dive for him yet, but I can grab him. He is being a very sweet big brother and is very patient with me. He lays under the table while I am eating. And then he likes to come and check to find the gooey stuff that Mommy or Daddy missed with the washcloth. We have a little system going. I eat, he licks.
Thanks for checking on me.
Much love and sweet dreams,
MH
(Photo commentary: For those of you who may have noticed, yes, that is another contraption behind her jumper thingy. We have moved the exersaucer to the garage this week. It frees up a little space in our oh-so-spacious living "area"! We rotate them...it's the little things!)

My First Halloween

Hi there!
Well, in addition to celebrating my 6-month birthday on Monday, I made it through my first Halloween yesterday! I was a butterfly, complete with sparkly antennas and wings. Gin Gin made my costume and did a very nice job. I wore it to school for a little while yesterday and then went "trick or treating" (translate: photo tour) last night. I had my picture taken with James and Ella, at least they tell me that is who they were. They looked so funny! contrary to what it may look like in the pictures, I wasn't miserable...just very tired. Still working on naps at school.
Mommy, Daddy, Henry, and I seem to be all well, so we are very thankful!
Have a good day!
Love,
MH
