Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi friends,

I just wanted to say hello and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! The Christmas season has been great! I have loved playing with Baby Jesus from my Advent calendar and my nativity set and, most importantly, learning the Christmas story. As you might imagine from stories from previous posts, anything that has to do with babies gets my attention...this Baby was no different! I went to parties with my friends at school and my family. I "sort of" went to see Santa, but as you can see from the picture, Daddy ended sitting in his lap instead of me! :)

Santa did come to see me and Henry. I got a kitchen and Henry got this really cool teddy bear that has a water bottle (an empty one) inside of it. I love my kitchen and have made many yummy meals, including cupcakes, steaks, spaghetti, and fruit salad. Hours of fun...especially a good thing since my school has been closed since Christmas Eve. All returns to normal on Monday (although Mommy and I have been saying "Boo work" as often as possible without annoying Daddy too much!). I also got a slide that for the time being lives inside (going outside as soon as the weather improves) and a tricycle with a push handle for Daddy or Mommy to use.

On Christmas morning, Grandpa, Grandma Caryn, and Uncle Matt (Unc-Matt, as I like to say) came over very early. Around 10:30ish, Daddy, Mommy, and I went to Biggie and GinGin's house for brunch (lunch for me!). The first present I opened was a very big, fluffy, soft blanket that GinGin made for me; the second was a travel-size kitchen. I spent about 45 minutes, while Mommy opened the rest of my gifts, honing my culinary skills despite the chaos that was going on around me. What a day!

The past few weeks have been very busy, but I have had such a good time. I'm in love with my cousins, James and Ella (I ask for them daily). They do a fabulous job entertaining me...on New Year's Day they built a fort for me in my pack n play with all 3 of us in it. Such a fun time! Although I definitely have my moments of approaching the "terrible two's", complete with putting my face on the ground with my bottom poking up in the air to emphasize the pout when I'm told "no", I've been told that I was a very sweet girl over the holidays.

Mommy, Daddy, and I hope that you had a very wonderful Christmas and wish you a very blessed 2010! More pictures and videos to come...

Much love and sweet dreams,

MH

I am thankful...

Hi friends,

I hope you all are doing well! I am sorry that it has been a little while since my last post. Between my travels to Disney for Thanksgiving and the end of the semester for Mommy, life has been a little hectic, but I am doing great!

Where to start. Well, I had the chance to go see Mickey with my cousins, Ella, James, and Walker, their parents, Biggie & GinGin, and Mommy & Daddy. We had a great time! Walk-Walk and I enjoyed a few baths together in the big tub and I persuaded everyone besides Mommy and Daddy to push my stroller. M&Ms have become a favorite...Mommy and Daddy used them to bribe me to get back in the stroller. We had dinner with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore in the Magic Kingdom. Yummy food and a good time. I really liked seeing the characters, petting them, and rubbing their noses. We rode a few rides like the carousel, It's a Small World, and Nemo & Friends. The latter was my least favorite as I started saying "bye bye" at the end of it, but I did get to see the "fhish" at the end.

The best thing was that in the mornings I could wake up and run to see Biggie and GinGin (they had an adjoining room). Biggie would sit with me while I ate my first breakfast (first round is right when I wake up @ 6 AMish; round two is when I get to school). GinGin would give me lotion to rub on my hands. All this while Mommy and Daddy lounged...doing laundry, emptying the dishwasher, picking up my and others stuff!

I think everyone had a wonderful time! Mommy and Daddy have said that I was so happy (possibly because I was eating the entire time I was there or perhaps because I was the center of the universe!!!). I have continued to be happy ever since. I miss my cousin Walk-Walk, Uncle Hudson, and Aunt Sarah, who all live in Hawaii, but we are going to try to go see them soon. I've been practicing my belly surfing on my ottoman that rocks back and forth.

All is well here...much more to say, but my scribe is off to Tampa for work tomorrow. That just means more quality time with my Daddy and Henry. I'll tell you about my beautiful Christmas tree later.

Much love and sweet dreams,
MH
