My latest tricks...

Hi friends,

I thought you might like to see ONE of my many new tricks...motorboat, a polite term for "I like to spit all over you particularly when I have food in my mouth". Please note that few are doing much to discourage me, so of course I'll continue. And in case you are wondering I wasn't hungry; Mommy just felt the need to shovel food in my face. Don't worry--I didn't choke. My cereal had gotten a little thick (if you are familiar with rice cereal it happens pretty quickly!) Apparently lessons on manners are coming later, but boy do I have fun doing it (and it feels good on my gums--5 teeth in and one more coming soon!)

I'm still working on the crawling and pulling up things. My upper body strength is quite impressive if I do say so myself! I have mastered pulling books off my book case, doing chin ups on the bookcase shelves, and almost successfully pulling over tables in the hallways, More about those activities later...

Enjoy!
Much love and sweet dreams,

MH

My First Christmas

Hi my friends!

Well, my scribe has been a little slow in updating the blog, but Daddy did post a link to all of the pictures from Christmas and Disney World. I'll be posting some stories from Disney World and Christmas over the next few days.

In short, Christmas was very fun! On Christmas Eve, we went to church. It was a perfect time for me...I had just woken up from a nap and I was ready to play! Mommy and Daddy dropped me off at the nursery (same place where I go to Sunday School) while they went to the service. Every Christmas Eve, the big people have Communion and then the service ends with the singing of "Silent Night" and the lighting of everyone's candles. Mommy came to pick me up from the nursery before the song and she held me during the last part of the service. It was really cool! I tried to get to the flame a few times, but no burns! :)

Lots more stories, but I'm going to post a few pictures and leave you with a short video of Christmas morning at our house with Daddy, Mommy, Henry, and me.

Such a fun life...

Hi my friends!

Just in case you were wondering, I am silly and happy and all those fun things! My pictures can sometimes be mistaken for being serious, which I can be (wonder where that comes from? Both gene pools???), but oh, just give me a little bit of time and I can be a big ham! In this picture, I decided that it was more fun to wear my sock as a hat...no, that won't be our Christmas card photo. And in the video, I was just downright punchy...you can hear Daddy "coughing" in the background. Silly Daddy! You will also hear me say "bye bye" (or my version of it!), wave at myself, and clap. My newest tricks!

I am having so much fun in this big world...I hope you are too! :)

Love and kisses,
MH

My First Meeting with Santa

Hi my friends!

Well, it happened! I got to meet the big man himself. That's right...Santa! Mommy and Daddy took me to meet him on Sunday. I was a bit sleepy (after a good but long morning at Sunday School), but I rallied. Mommy put me on his lap and at first I wasn't really sure what was going on. He had this really funny hair on his face (I don't see many men with beards). I studied him for a few seconds and then decided he was nice, so I gave him my sweetest smile! We chatted for a second, took a few pictures, and then Mommy picked me up. I tried to tell Santa that I would have much more to tell him next year and in the following years...

Daddy, Mommy, and I have been busy getting ready for Jesus's birthday! Well, really they have been busy decorating; I've been busy trying to figure out this crawling thing. I've almost got it--got the rocking down, one leg kicked out, almost there.

Last night I scooted on my bottom on the hardwood floor and found ALL the dust under one of the coffee tables and then I proceeded to unload all of the pictures, books, etc. Wow! I'm so excited to explore all around the house particularly the Christmas tree; it's so pretty!! Stay tuned!

We hope that you are having a wonderful Christmas and holiday season!

Much love and sweet dreams,
MH
